Welcome to Homestead Lodge

Homestead Lodge, nestled in the quiet heart of Greensboro, NC, offers a modest yet welcoming retreat for travelers seeking affordable lodging without unnecessary frills. Located at 115 E Carteret St, this budget-friendly motel stands out for its simplicity and attentiveness to guest needs. The atmosphere is calm and private, making it a favored choice for those who value quiet and comfort over luxury.

Several guests commend the friendly and approachable management. Owner interaction is more personal than typical for motels, with visitors appreciating the opportunity to view rooms beforehand and learn about weekly and monthly specials. This level of hospitality fosters a sense of trust and community that is rare in such accommodations.

Rooms come equipped with essential amenities like free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and in-room kitchens, catering well to extended stays or those who prefer self-catering options. Free parking and accessibility features add practical convenience, though the absence of amenities like a pool, fitness center, or on-site restaurant positions Homestead Lodge firmly as a no-frills choice.

Guests on a budget, such as Lawrence Mccardle and Matthew Walsh, highlight the value—comfortable beds, affordability, and a tranquil environment are key selling points. Walsh's observation about the excellent weekly rate of $265 underscores the lodge’s appeal for long-term visitors or travelers intent on stretching their dollars without sacrificing basic comfort.

The absence of typical hotel luxuries is balanced by a genuine, down-to-earth experience. One long-term guest praises the manager’s understanding and flexibility during tough financial times, signaling a hospitable environment where people are treated with dignity.

For visitors focused on sightseeing and recreation within Greensboro, Homestead Lodge provides a pragmatic base. While it lacks airport shuttles and pet accommodations, its proximity to local attractions and a nearby golf course make it a strategic choice for the budget-conscious traveler prioritizing location and peace over extravagance.

In sum, Homestead Lodge is not just a place to sleep but a quiet refuge where affordable rates meet authentic hospitality. It appeals most to those who appreciate straightforward service and a relaxed atmosphere, perfectly suited for practical travelers and long-term guests alike.

Had to stop for an emergency to service my vehicle there and the young lady at the service desk was very helpful. Very quiet area.

Owner is friendly and helpful. He had his housekeeper take me to the rooms to see them before I rented he told me about the weekly and monthly specials and it's quiet. The beds are comfy it's a budget friendly room and for the price I'll stay here every time I'm in Greensboro.

Definitely a good, quiet, private, and cheap motel. Great weekly rate, $265, which breaks down to $37 and change per night. You won't find many rooms in Greensboro even close, maybe 1. If you're looking for everything to be EXACTLY to your liking and like to constantly complain about the littlest of things then you can go pay upwards of $500 per week somewhere else, and probably still not get everything done EXACTLY how you like it. Weekly rooms could be a little more fixed up but they're not terrible. On the second day my A/C unit got a lot less cool but I was given a box fan immediately as there were no more weekly rooms available to move me to. Personally, I'm not picky so I was satisfied with that. Having worked in the cheap motel industry I know how these places operate and are taken care of. This one is very decent compared to most. Like the saying goes, "You get what you pay for". The staff is very polite, friendly, and will do their best to fulfill your needs. Any time I had an issue it was dealt with right away and without attitude. Has gas station/convenience stores, grocery store, bus stops, and highway access within walking distance (is actually located next to an offramp). It's basic lodging with necessities close by. Prices are definitely on point. If you're a perfectionist complainer this is not the motel for you!! I personally love it and have been here before (on a nightly basis) and will without a doubt be returning. This has been a very relaxing, quiet unplanned stay. Thank you Homestead Lodge Owner and Staff
